[itdiscuss] Virtual Machine

Might as well chime in here.  I'm using http://www.virtualbox.org/ on
the mac side to run Windows.  It's free and it will run on Windows,
Linux, Mac, and OpenSolaris.  The only issues I've had thus far is
getting the windows side to consistently authenticate against my Active
Directory.  Haven't had much time to play with that yet.

As for me - I am new to the Church IT world as of this past April.  In
my former life I was over all IT operations for a local school
district's Food Service department.  Is there anyone here that is in or
close to the Tampa, FL area that I may be able to network with?

I still think that VMware is the best application for that. They have
been doing it the longest. I am not sure about Open Source, and whether
or not there is a good, reliable product for such application. I know
Ubuntu has it built-in, but I am guessing you are running windows.

I downloaded MS Virtual PC, and used it a little. But I was looking to
use something more open source.
