[itdiscuss] installing Firefox extensions for all users

We've not tried installing any of these. Have you tried?
What I think will happen is that if you install these on the server, they'll be available to everyone and would essentially be the "default" setting but, everyone would have the same thing. The only way you might get something different is if a user makes a change as a "personal preference", maybe that change will "stick" in their personal profile. Have you tested this?
If you're cool with everyone having these addons then I think it is just the simple matter of installing on the TS.

Well, on Windows I have a default set of extensions I would love to install for all users:
* Adblock Plus (maybe)
* View in IE (converts current tab to IE rendering engine, but stays in Firefox)
* PDF download (opens to open or save PDF links)
* Colorful tabs (maybe)
* Download Status Bar (moves download window to status bar, great for ICA connection launches)
Thanks.

Tell us more - like which extensions or what are you needing to accomplish? You made me curious as we have Firefox installed on our TS's but I don't recall issues with extensions or that we've even looked at this.

For those of you in a TS environment...is there a method for installing or setting up a default user profile for firefox extensions? Thanks!
