If you are running Shelby V5 you can actually install the Shelby client on XPe if you want, assuming you get a terminal with a big enough flash drive.

Thin clients against what back-end? We aren't using TS yet.

We're using HP t5720 thin clients with Dell touch screens on Arena. The Dell touch screen is about 30% cheaper than the Elo, and as far as I can tell is manufactured by Elo.
