Yes, it's rack-mountable.

Do you know if they have a rack mount kit for this firewall?

I must mention as well that we are using the enhanced firmware and
utilizing the 4th Ethernet port (X3) for a DMZ. The DMZ isolates our
ISA firewall (OWA proxy / Active Sync for mobile users) and the SSL/VPN
SonicWall appliance.

We're getting our money's worth out of the 2040 but we do need to
upgrade it because I need to have more physical ports for the future.

That looks very interesting. It isn't as expensive as I thought it
would be.

I have been using a SonicWall Pro 2040 for several years and am happy
with it. It simultaneously handles a Cox Business 15 mbps and T1 line
as our internet connection. While it has the capability to do WAN load
balancing we utilize only the failover capability which has been
wonderful when one of our internet lines goes down either for
maintenance or other. The T1 line is used primarily for VPN connection
for about 40 of our staff that need access from home or travel. The
SonicWall Global VPN Client one notebooks and home PCs has been rock
solid for us. The Pro 2040 also handles 3 live/continuous
point-to-point VPN connections to 2 SonicWall TZ-170 units and a Cisco
firewall at remote offices. We have had some issues with different
firmware version but the 2040 has been a workhorse.

We have just installed and are bringing on line, a SonicWall 2000
SSL/VPN device that will make remote access easier for our users and
easier for us in IT to manage.
