[itdiscuss] Stumped by a Printer

Sean,

Is this by chance an HP printer and has Windows Updates been ran lately?
Sometimes a driver that Microsoft pushes out for an HP printer will
experience problems with some printers. (I usually do not update printer
drivers unless the update has something I need, such as added functions, or
if I am experiencing problems with the current print drive).

Assuming you have already rebooted the computer, I would try uninstalling
the printer, remove the cable (I assume USB?), and then reboot again, log
into Windows and reinstall the printer driver.

If this doesn¹t work, please provide as much details as possible (ie.
Software installed lately, can she print from other Apps to that printer,
etc.)

Subject: [itdiscuss] Stumped by a Printer

I need to see if anyone has seen this problem before.

I have a user that cannot print documents to her printer that she prints
every week. These are Order of Service and other music department documents
created in MS Word. She can print the very same docs to other printers. She
can create a new doc and print it, but not if she copies and pastes the old
data into it. I cannot figure out what would make this happen. Anyone have
experience with this?
