Bill,

Yes - devices with ActiveSync support "push" notifications or they can
be changed to "pull" at a specified interval. As a matter of fact, I
often had emails show up on my Windows Mobile device BEFORE they
appeared in Outlook and the same holds true for my iPhone today.
