[itdiscuss] ISA 2006 weirdness

Lately our ISA firewall has been having an issue around 1:30 PM CST almost everyday.

ISA will allow all incoming connections, but anything outgoing does not work.

It all will not allow us to ping any server on our network, and will now allow us to RDP into any server from the ISA box.

We then have to restart the Windows Firewall Service - and it all works again - for a matter of time.

Once that is done, we can again ping our DC's and DNS servers as well as do RDP connections from the ISA 2006 box.

Eventually the issue happens all over again, and we have to do the same thing.

Today it did not work until I turned off the caching and re-enabled it.

Any one have any thoughts?

I checked Event Log - and saw no errors. The firewall rules also seem to be good - allowing almost all outgoing traffic.

Over all its a weird situation - but with out anything in the event log I am a bit lost.
