Hello all,
Recently we had quite a few laptops donated to us. They are Dell
x300s (no internal CD drives for these little guys) and we have only one
external CD\DVD drive that came with all of them.
Because of time limitations I have created a boot Cd that works
wonderfully (we just need XP on these with pre-loaded drivers). I have
another USB CD drive I am booting too now so I'm up to 2 images at a
time. However I'd like to push out the image to the remaining laptops
via PXE is possible. Any thoughts, suggestions?
I tried WDS in legacy mode and I'm having issues with it that I don't
have time to trouble shoot. I can get my laptops to PXE boot, but I
don't see the default XP install I was under the impression WDS was
supposed to serve up when it pulls the XP source files when I first
configured it.
Anyway I can trouble shoot WDS in the mean time I image the laptops via
CD. I guess any suggestions with PXE\iso images and\or WDS legacy would
be much appreciatd.
