[itdiscuss] Loss of Network Drives at logon

Yesterday I had two users complain that they had no home shares mapped
at logon. Today that number has jumped to nine and some complain that
they have no network shares while others are missing only a couple. The
home share is mapped via their profile in directory services and the
other shares are mapped from a bat file that runs at logon. Not
everyone on staff is affected in the same manner. The bat file does not
map the shares as persistent. They are re-established at each login.
This also seems to be a problem at only one campus (OU). In every case,
they are able to browse to the share and once that happens some of them
actually have the share mapped under My Computer.

Subject: [itdiscuss] Backup Software Revisited
I am again revisiting the question of backup software. I have been using
most recently Commvault Galaxy Express, and am finding it significantly
difficult to use. I am looking for something easy to use, reliable, will
be doing disk-to-disk daily and tape on weekends. I also want something
with decent notification abilities; I don't want to have a lot of false
alarms.
What do you use and how has it been for you?
