GCC spends a LOT of time in India and found it was cheapest to purchase
plans in India.

I saw a program on public TV the other day about a company that unlocks
cell phones for people so they can use local SIM cards. They claimed it
was above board. It allows folks to make calls at the local rates.
Unfortunately, I didn't keep track of who the company was. If I find it
I'll post it.

We are looking for the best way to keep in contact with our various
mission trips. Skype work great as long as the trip is somewhere with
Internet access, however what about the areas that are not. What Cell
phone would you recommend for international use (if they can get cell)
or other options. We are looking at probably a single option that could
be shared by each trip. It would be very rare to have trips overlap that
did not have Internet access.

Also, would you have recommendation for the best portable web cam &
microphone for Skype for use on their laptops.

Any thought appreciated. An example of no Internet service is a remote
village in Peru.
