A Costco calling card that people use from a pay-phone is the most
cost effective way to communicate from other countries. You can hand
the cards out, they last for six months (I think) and then use
whatever minutes are left on another trip. You only pay for what you
use and it's a fixed cost. I think 4.5 cents a minute. Most third
world countries still have an abundance of pay-phones.
