A friend of mine has a WinXP machine that has died. He has a new Vista
computer. We wanted to get the data off so we moved the old PC drive to
the new PC. So far so good. Now when we attempt to access the data on
the old drive, we are deigned access. I attempted to change the
permissions and even the "ownership", but to no avail. Can anyone give
me some idea of how to get past this problem?

Thanks,
