Have you looked at the hosts file to see if there is an entry for
google.com?

Subject: [itdiscuss] One more problem

It appears to be my day for obscure problems :-)

I have a user that browses to Google.com in either IE or FF and just gets a
blank page. He is set up in IE for Google as the search provider and if I
use the search box everything works fine. I have tried an ipconfig
/flushdns, ipconfig /registerdns and still get a blank page browsing to
google.com (it says done at the bottom of the page). If I go to any of the
ip addresses shown for Google with ipconfig /displaydns it works fine.

One other tidbit. This user just had the 'Antivirus Plus' virus that was
cleaned out, but Google.com still seems to be hijacked, although it does not
reinstall the virus.

Any suggestion here?
