I upgraded a client shortly after SEP was released... it was a disaster.
Keep in mind this was late 2007. However, after months of rants on the
Symantec support forums from a very large group of users and a few major
updates things finally settled down. However, the client (as I ) was so
fed with Symantec support, their promises of "a patch soon" and the
product they released that was clearly not ready for release. I began
researching another solution for when their year licensing expired. I
discovered Eset NOD32 business edition with very good non-profit
pricing. They and I took the Eset dive and aren't going back. I have
also rolled it out to other clients since then and plan to implement it
hear as soon as our CA licensing expires at the end of the year.
I've managed McAfee, Symantec, CA, and Eset all in enterprise level
environments and Eset has been great. Even My second favorite was
Symantec prior to the SEP first release. But... thanks to Symantec I got
the initiative to research new products and found one I liked better.
I'm not trashing the current state of SEP11. I'm just saying if you are
at a place to consider your options Eset is a good place to look.

Has anyone attempted to upgrade from Symantec Enterprise 10.0 to
Symantec Endpoint 11.0.4202? Were there any major issues?
