Almost every Antivirus vendor has a rescue .iso you can download and it will
boot and present a menu and allow you to scan and clean an infected machine.
Here is one that has 4 built-in scanners that can self-update once booted
and includes partition and password reset functions:

Yes there is a way to load it into Bart's PE.  I haven't done it with
Symantec, though.
