[itdiscuss] Terminal Server Licenses

Are they 2000, 2003, or 2008 terminal services licenses?  If they are 2003 or 2008, are they per user or per device?

I currently have 32 TS licenses and they all encumbered. I have 20 staff people that are authorized TS connections. I have a number of them are that are being used by the same computer.  In one case one computer has tied up 6 licenses.  I also have a number of licenses that have expired but will not release.  I find no way to release them.  Does anyone have a suggestion other than buying new licenses?
