I often wonder why Dell puts those updates out to a floppy - when their
systems don't ship with them any longer...

a USB floppy is about $20 hwoever - worse case

Subject: [itdiscuss] Dell Server Management

OK,

I know I am supposed to know this.but I am an IBM guy. I have Dell servers
now, and I am seeking an easy way to manage the hardware/firmware etc. I
know they have something called Server Administrator, but I am not really
familiar. Also, several of the firmware updates I downloaded require a
floppy, which of course, I don't have.

With IBM, I used to download a CD, boot the server off that CD, and it
updated everything. Does Dell have an equivalent that anyone can point me
toward? Thanks!
