Sounds like network connectivity problems. Can you do some continuous ping
tests from a couple of the machines having trouble back the servers where
the mappings go to and look for problems?
Something like a c:\ping dcname -t
At least that would tell you whether it is having trouble talking to the
server.
Also, are the DC's, mapping destinations or computers having trouble showing
anything in the eventlogs that might shed light on it?
YBIC,
Jason

Subject: [itdiscuss] mapping
Hi,
Anyone had a problem with the mapping disconnecting and reconnecting without
apparent reason? I have several servers and two DC's. Beginning this
morning users began to have issues that would eventually freeze their
machines. I've narrowed it down to the mapping problem. I brought down all
the servers and DC's, also reset the switches. Still have issues. They log
on (I have scripts, and may have rights to all and then suddenly lose
connection with one or the other of the servers.
Any idea?
