[itdiscuss] New Wireless Mics

The issues here are simple. As long as manufacturers could design
products that didn’t interfere with broadcast TV and public safety
communications, the FCC would look the other way, allowing sales to
technically unqualified users like churches proceed unabated. As a
result, wireless microphone sales went through the roof beginning in
the mid-1990s, creating a huge user base that, in effect, became an
entitlement class without legal standing.
There likely won’t be a “turn off the lights” moment when wireless
systems all stop working or become illegal (except in the 700MHz
range, prohibited as of 2/17/09).
I would ask the original company you ordered from if they have any
programs to help you around this mess.
Imagine if all the churches got together and create a class action
suit against this junk...
Bottom line is we were sold something hook line and sinker that we may
not be able to use... Furthermore -Technically you should have a
license for the frequencies your using most likely now - so its up to
you if you really want to fill out form 600 and pay $75 for the
licensed frequency for 5 years or not...
