[itdiscuss] Hyper-V on a Win2008 DC-DHCP server

I am in need of installing hyper-v on a Windows 2008 server that acts as
an AD controller and DHCP server for a client of mine. I understand this
is not ideal, but their need is pressing until they can afford another
server.

I've read issues that this can cause with the DHCP server properly
binding to the physical NIC properly once Hyper-V is installed and the
registry edit required to fix this issue. It seems to work for most who
post in the forums I read. However, absent is the rest of the story. Has
anyone else configured a server in this manner? If so, even after the
registry edit and proper DHCP binding, how has this worked for you over
a period of a few weeks, months etc? Was this (while not recommended) a
stable implementation?
