We have enabled WebDav folders on our IIS server which also has SSL
w/certificate required.
This requires login and works well for both our Mac and PC users.

Subject: [itdiscuss] Internet File Access
We have a need to make a file share available to ³authenticated² users, from
locations on the Internet. What different approaches have you all taken to
secure file access and what ones present the least amount of network
security issues? We¹d like to avoid downloading files via the Terminal
Server or VPN connections. Have you been able to enable ³file sync¹ing²
with your approach?
