We provide Tweets to clients for network status
And Its Free
IAN - you're onto something there for sure.
Of course - it really stinks when twitter is unable to tweet due to an
outage...

Another medium for communicating to your members via SMS is Twitter. You
publish the alerts on your twitter stream, and participation is
completely opt-in and people can decide whether or not they want it to
go to their devices or not. Added bonus: it doesn't cost the church
anything.

Please see my last post to this forum. All three of these packages
include the ability to text.
Pros or cons: If you don't have permission to send texting you could get
some real static from those constituents who are charged for texting.

We've talked about phone messages, but what about phone texting. The
largest percentage of people are going to get a text faster than leaving
a message on the phone. I have been looking into the texting packages.
Does anyone have any preferences or experience with any packages?
Pro's or Con's on using a texting method for use in the church
environment?
