The non-profit price for Windows 7 Enterprise (the OS Mission to the World uses because of added security features like whole disk encryption via bitlocker) costs us around $60 for the non-software assurance version and about $100 to add the software assurance features.

Subject: [itdiscuss] Upgrading XP Home

We purchased some Asus Eee Top touch screen machines that came with Windows XP Home Edition Nettop. I need to have these machines on the domain and, therefore, need a Professional or higher license. (Business appears to be available only on new computer purchases.)

I've been told that I can purchase Windows 7 Professional upgrade package for $199.99 (SKU: FQC-00130).

Would anyone like to propose alternatives?
