[itdiscuss] Bandwidth

We have been using Comcast business for about a year and a half. With
the exception of one outage that lasted 5 days (did you know there are
Comcast offices in Chicago and Denver... we do now)
We pay $128 per month for 2 modems each are 15/5 Meg and expanded basic
TV service.
We load balance between the two modems with our firewalls.
I would suggest keeping another circuit from another provider as
backup... we have a T1 that we use for voice that we use as our backup.
Comcast will be offering their Wideband soon in our area and can be in
flavors of 50,75,125 mb down
Another option if available is Verizon Fios ( Andrew in DC is using it)

I'm not sure what the true SLA is, but Comcast business internet is a
heck of deal for low $.
12/2 Meg 59.95
22/5 Meg 99.95
50/10 Meg 189.95
I just signed a contract to put a 12/2 line in our community center
building downtown ... this will be our new offsite DR colo J

It looks like we might be finally looking at getting rid of our DSL's.
Any suggestions for bandwidth providers out there?
We are researching opening our first (from this building) remote venue
and would like to have something that can give us a 5 MB upload while
possibly avoiding the big name, big bucks guys.
Any suggestions appreciated.
