Do you have a PTR record setup somewhere? If so, does it match the IP
address that is the source for all of your email?

Subject: [itdiscuss] IP List...Again
Folks,
I am facing this dreaded IP blacklist again. Here is what I am getting
this time:
APEWS.org
Entry matching your Query: E-350844
##.###.0.0/17
Dynamic IP space, generic DNS/rDNS, no PTR
Direct connections to MX not permitted, you
need to use your ISP servers or smarthostSpecial Reason:
Dynamic IP, generic DNS, missing rDNS/PTR not permitted for direct email
connection. You must use correctly configured [with registered working
abuse contact] static IP / ISP mail servers / smarthost serviceHistory:
Entry created 2008-05-25
My question is about this address range: it seems incredibly large!!!
This IP space is registered to Nuvox as far as I know, and we have had
IP addresses here for the last 4 years and never had this problem. Can
anyone give me some advice? I already have a reverse DNS entry I think.
