MTW just acquired the Barracuda Archiver - lowest end system for 150 mailboxes. We were using .pst files but this has become very complicated and frustrating for users so we believe the archiver will make things easier. Since our users are already familiar with the Barracuda Spam server, we thought the archiver from the same company would make it easy for them to learn and use. We're still in the process of implementing this with our users. In the meantime, we've pulled in 10+ years of pst files. Those who have used it thus far really like the speed and ease of use. We still need to deal with retention issues but need to deal with that across the entire organization so should be tackling that in the next months.

I would be interested in knowing how many of you handle email archiving (and if you do). What products and for how long do you archive. We are currently Exchange 2003 probably upgrading this year.
